MIMOSA and OpenO&M Meetings

Make plans now to attend the MIMOSA and OpenO&M meetings August 25-27, 2008 which will be held on the BP-AMOCO main campus in Houston, Texas. We are looking forward to an important joint meeting with Oil&Gas Owner/Operators. This joint meeting is scheduled for Monday afternoon and Tuesday. Chairman Mike Brooks, in his invitation letter to the Owner/Operator community notes:

During the past 3 years, meetings of OpenO&M initiative have resulted in owner-operators, solution providers, and the appropriate industry standards organizations collaborating to combine user requirements with content from standards organizations and key solutions providers. The standard is successfully deployed and we expect our collaboration will continue to extend and improve it. Many of our key suppliers (including IBM, SAP, and MSFT) plan to join us at this event to discuss and demonstrate how they can support this industry-driven solutions process by properly enabling their products. This is an important meeting where we will formally kickoff the owner-operator leadership activities. I implore you to attend, to get involved, and to provide your insight, your prioritization, and guidance to make sure that owner-operators drive this standard.

MIMOSA technical committee meetings will be held on Monday morning and all day Wednesday. Please see the attached schedule for details. Note that these meetings are restricted to active MIMOSA members.

There is no cost to attend these meetings, but pre-registration by August 15, 2008 is required.
